Honeyguide Adventures

The Honeyguide is a small, unassuming bird, found in the African bush. It has an obsession with the “sweet things” in life. Specifically, African Bee’s – Honey (wax and larvae). Over millennia, it has identified that certain creatures (such as Humans and the Honeybadger), are also fixated with honey. Interestingly the Honeyguide has managed to forge mutually beneficial associations with these “like minded” creatures.

The bird, actively calls, whomever is available, and leads them directly to the treasure. Thus, saving time, and effort and enabling the candidate to, break open the hive, and take the honey they require. The Bird then indulges, in what is left behind.  We have chosen, the Honeyguide, as our Talisman, as it best reflects our passion for the good things in life, and our Fixation of, leading others to it, and sharing it with them.

Our focus is Adventure! We can literally compose and organize the African Adventure trip of your dreams.

Adventure” is in-truth a relative concept. Meaning to undertake an exciting or unusual experience. I like to think of it as, “adding venture” to ones life.

Honeyguide specialises in selecting – Riders, routes, residences and rides, that are focused on the sweet spots, that South-Africa has to offer. Honeyguide is the most complete Adventure experience, you can undertake. For us it’s not just a journey or a trip, it is a complete sensory experience. We seldom travel the conventional routes, as we take you behind the scenes. We explore not only the place, but its people, history and cultures. For us it’s an experience to be savored rather than some sights to be seen.

The tales we tell
